Delete account
This is a translation for convenience. In case of discrepancies, the German version shall prevail.

1. Which accounts
These instructions apply to accounts in the apps “Jiwar” (residents), “Jiwar Pro” (craftspeople) and “Jiwar Business” (providers and drivers) of BGGI GmbH. The guard app “Jiwar Gate” has no personal accounts; it is a device of the compound.
Management accounts in the dashboard (app.jiwar.vip) are deleted on request by email (section 3).
2. Delete in the app
The apps are available in Arabic and English. This is where you find the function:
“Jiwar”: at the bottom “More” → “Settings” → “Delete account”.
“Jiwar Pro” and “Jiwar Business”: at the bottom “Settings” → “Delete account”.
Then enter your password, confirm that the account will be deleted permanently and tap “Delete account permanently”. The deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. If an email address is stored, you receive a confirmation.
3. Without the app: form or email
Write to support@jiwar.vip — preferably from the email address of your account, otherwise with the phone number of your account and the name of your compound. Or use the form https://jiwar.vip/legal/betroffenenrechte. In both cases we send a confirmation link to your account's email address; after you click “Delete account permanently” we delete the account in the same way as in the app. If your account has no email address, we check through the management of your compound that the request comes from you. We handle the request within 6 working days, at the latest within one month. Data protection questions: datenschutz@bggi.de.
4. What is deleted immediately
Name, email address, phone number and password. The account is blocked, all sign-ins end and the push tokens of your devices are deleted. The app removes its sign-in data from the device.
Open invitation codes expire, open visitor passes are revoked, marketplace orders not yet accepted and future bookings are cancelled. Open work orders of craftspeople end and go back to the management.
5. What remains without your name — and for how long
Some records belong to the compound or to your unit. They remain with the management without your name and contact details until their period ends; Jiwar then deletes them automatically:
Repair requests with photos, work orders and proof photos: 24 months after closure. Marketplace orders with reviews and delivery photos: 24 months after completion. Bookings: 12 months after the date. Gate log and deliveries with parcel photos: 12 months. Visitor passes: 90 days after expiry. Votes in polls are anonymous and are deleted 24 months after the poll closes.
Payments, receipts and invoices: 10 years because of commercial and tax retention obligations.
Proof of consent (version, time, IP address, device): 3 years after the deletion, as evidence for possible claims. “Account deleted” entry in the management log: 3 years. Days of use: 13 months. Ratings: 24 months. Revoked sign-in keys: 30 days.
These records are linked to an internal identifier. An empty account record with this identifier remains so that the references stay unambiguous; it contains no name and no contact details.
Providers: business, catalogue and orders belong to the compound and remain with the management, which can invite a new owner. Drivers: delivered orders remain with the provider.
6. Deactivation by the management
The management of your compound can deactivate your access to the compound at any time, e.g. when you move out; a provider can deactivate the access of its drivers. This ends access to that compound but does not delete the account. You can still delete it yourself — in the app or by email (section 3).
